Rex Ryan is a _____?
I'll let you fill in that gap. Just when you think he can't get any cuter, he does something like say "ass" on a televised press conference (the "cuter" part was TOTAL sarcasm, bee tee dubs). What do you think is more of an embarrassment for the NFL? The whole officiating debacle, or Rex Ryan? I think it may be Rex Ryan. Now I know you might think I'm a little biased since I strongly, strongly *dislike* the Jets, but seriously someone needs to shut this guy up! A team that lacks discipline and order can never ever do well, and until Rex Ryan understands that, the Jets are in serious trouble. It's like Kim Kartrashian and Kanye Pest (not a spelling error) had a big, immature, whiny, annoying, obnoxious, arrogant, oblivious-to-reality, and-did-I-mention annoying baby. That won't ever, ever go away. Sigh.
Speaking of annoying, who the heck decided to hire Cundiff?? The dude missed THREE FGs yesterday! WTH! And we got super lucky with that last one. I think the Skins have a serious identity crisis. Cundiff doesn't know he's supposed to be a kicker, and RGIII doesn't know he's not human. The guy is a freaking MONSTER!! Did you know, in the last few minutes of the game, his headset wasn't even working? And he was still able to lead the team to a much needed win with 323 passing yds, 43 rushing yds and a rushing TD. He had 7 carries for 43 yds, that's 6.1 yds avg per carry! He continues to impress week after week, anddd get me some nice fantasy points as well :)
Chris Johnson on the other hand..pshhh...RIGHT when I decided to drop him from BOTH of my leagues, he goes on and runs for 141 yards. That's 15 points I lost in my league. Oh well. Houston still won though, and they're 4-0, along with the Falcons and the Cardinals. THE CARDINALS ARE 4-0? And the Saints are 0-4? What kind of world are we living in, where Drew Brees hasn't won a game yet, Peyton Manning isn't a Colt, Patriots are 2-2, and the Packers are 20th in the league in offense!? Last Sunday, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers were all on the LOSING teams. Did you ever think that would be possible? This season so far has been very interesting, but sometimes I like the mundane, easy wins like the Pats and Bills game yesterday. Me no likey interesting. Me likey Brady kicking some seroius ass! Me like 31 POINTS in the 4th quarter, and me likey SIX turnovers! Brady plays Manning (Peyton) next week, which should be one hell of a game. Can't. Wait. Also, the Skins play the Falcons next week, so a teeeeeeensy bit nervous about that. Hopefully RGIII and company can hand them their first loss! HTTR!!
Ok enough football talk for now. Let's talk about pretty things. Like shoes. And sweater dresses. And boots. And WINTER COATS!! The days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing color, and the air is getting nice and crisp. Fall is here, and it's time to get your closet ready! As much as I would like to hold on to summer and summery clothes, I'm a little excited about wintery clothes. If you know me, you know I'm completely obsessed with winter coats and leather jackets. Last I checked, I had about 16 of them! I know it's crazy! But that's the only thing that gets me somewhat excited about winter.

Wooohooo there IS a God! The ref lockout is over, and the timing couldn't be better! I'd like to think Ed Hochuli and Roger Goodell read my blog and decided to end this stupidity. Anywho. So welcome back, Hochuli AND his guns. By the way, did you know, Hochuli is actually a very successful attorney? So I guess this whole officiating thing is just a side gig. According the details of this agreement, NFL has promised to increase the salaries of the 'official' officials from an average of $149,000 a year in 2011 to $173,000 in 2013. That's one hell of a gig! I picked the wrong profession. Sigh.
On unrelated news, Rob Pattinson and agreed to take K Stew back. Wonderful news. She will never cheat on you again *rolls eyes*. Actually she may not. I don't know...what do I care!

What the who the whaaa
Ok so I had pretty much given up on this thing, you know been busy learning Italian, going TO Italy, planning trips to Iceland and Paris...oh yeah and there's work and the husband as well. Also, since half my content is about football, there isn't much going on in the football world. HAHA I KID. What the *pardon my French* bleep is going on, NFL!? Have you absolutely, positively lost your mind? Anyone with a pea-sized brain knows these refs are making poor, poor calls. Case in point MNF. Or SNF. Or the rest of the games in the past three weeks. How can these games even be considered legit? The chaos and ridicule Goddell (The NFL commissioner, for my girls who don't know...you know who you are ;) and the refs have created is not only embarrassing for the NFL, but for us as fans as well. The sad part is, no matter how many mistakes these temps make, they know, at the end of the day, us fans will be watching the games every Sunday, like idiots. They know, we'll bitch and complain, but no one will watch reruns of Kartrashians instead of football on a Sunday afternoon (haha, you know I had to do that). So what happens now? The Packers being robbed of that game on Monday, the Skins getting five thousand penalties in like 5 secs (without any explanation, by the way, while the entire Bengals team and their immediate family and neighbors, along with their dogs were running wild on the field without any consequences whatsoever), Ed Reed hitting Deon Branch in the head, again without any penalties..WHAT WILL IT TAKE, NFL? Make it stop, PUHLEAZE!! My fantasy team is going up in flames real fast! I know that's selfish, but hey, if a replacement ref can ask a player to do well for the sake of his fantasy team, so can I!
Ugh...I guess I'll stop now. Let's talk about the savior, the man, the all mighty RGIII. He. is. so. so. good! Sometimes I feel like he forgets he's a QB, not a RB though. But what is a guy to do when he can't throw to any decent receivers, or hand it over to any decent running backs? Hopefully he'll calm down with the running game though, cuz we don't want anything happening to the one tiny sliver of hope we have after a long, long time! Oh and, I feel guilty for not mentioning my Patriots also. Hello, dear Pats. You are still my team, and Tommy you are still my QB. My stupid cousin stole you away in fantasy...yes, betrayed by my own family. But nonetheless, you are one of the best, if not the best QB in the history of this game and I will forever be your fan! And you grab that ref, coach Bellechick! Someone needs to.

1.) A beautiful lace dress...like this one from Stella McCartney. Oh it's so pretty! I would wear this at the dinner party I will host one day for Kate Middleton and the First Lady, Mrs Obama. I just hope Kate doesn't wear hers, it might be a little awkward ;)
2.) A pleated leather skirt: I would wear this with a polka dot blouse and NARS Dragon Girl red lips. Obsessed with that lip color BTW! This one is from Alice + Olivia
3.) A shorts-suit. From anywhere. I just want one! Haven't seen them anywhere recently, so let me know if you find one :) It's the perfect combination of sexy, sleek and stylish. Now OBVIOUSLY I wouldn't wear this to work, but maybe a night out with Anne Hathaway...lol

Oh on a sidenote...my BFF just told me that Kim K might be pregnant. She sent me the picture below...what do you guys think? I'm not gonna lie, I did laugh out loud because I think it's just her "natural" curves. And don't get me wrong, I think curves are beautiful, but it's a teensy bit odd when your face like like a pear, and your butt and below is like a Nissan Juke. I'm just saying. Butt implants gone horribly wrong I do love the swimsuit though, but seriously, who the *bleep* goes to the beach like that!!!?? The day I straighten my hair to go to the beach, someone, please take the liberty to slap me. That's all for now, stay tuned for more KarTrash talk and awesome sales :)

Back by popular demand!!
And by "popular" I mean my husband, my little brother, and like, 3 other people that read my blog. But fear not, my loyal fans...I'm back! It's been a looooong time eh? I was sick for a while, and then I just got uber lazy. I wish my laziness stopped me from shopping though! I can be deathly sick, but God help me if there's a good sale somewhere...I WILL pick up my fever ridden, nose drippin, head throbbing ass and go get that purse! It's called motivation people, I got mine, ya gotta get yours :D
Soooo I was trying to come up with a list of things to talk about. Much has happened in the last two-three months. Let's break it down, shall we?
MY LIFE
--Same ol' same ol', except went to Thailand for a wedding last month. What a beautiful country! And even more beautiful people. Seriously, if you wanna experience genuine hospitality, visit one of the South East Asian countries. They treat you like you're the only person in the world! And the food...especially the fruit, was just phenomenal! You can seriously live like a rock star, for like 5 bucks a day. Uhhmazing. Had a bit of a philosophical moment there. While walking out of the airport, in the "Arrivals" zone, I noticed people anxiously waiting for their loved ones. And as soon as they saw them, I saw their faces light up. This might be one of those "uhh DUH" moments, but I was just fascinated by how similar people are, halfway across the world. We look different, eat different things, wear different clothes, even have different beliefs and values. But picking up a loved one from the airport brings me as much joy, as the little Thai girl 12,000 miles away!
--Going to be traveling a lot this month, including Miami. Did you guys here about the man-eating Zombie in Miami? Freaked me out man! I don't even have the strength to fight a puppy, let alone a drugged up naked man with superhuman powers! *Yikes* Anywho, I'm excited anyway. Within the next 2 months, we'll be going to Dallas, New York, Miami, one TBD location, Philly, and Italy. Yes yes yes, we're going to Italy again!! That's my motherland. Well, adopted motherland :D

SPORTS NEWS
--I can't remember if we talked about this already, but RGIII baby!! Superbowl, here we come!! Haha, jk. I'm a loyal fan, not a delusional one. I'm super excited about RGIII coming to DC, and I really hope he's worth everything we gave up. However, it annoys me when people say things like "19-0!" or "Redskins to the Superbowl!!"...yeah, NO. I mean it'd be wonderful to see all that, but don't expect miracles here!
--What the heck is up with Tom Brady's hair!!?? I bet it's whats-her-face's doing. He looks like Tin-Tin!!
--Gosh I miss basketball. I used to watch every game, every year. The sound of a "swoosh" was like music to my ears! But now, just don't care for it! I hear my dad and my brother arguing sometimes. My dad is a die-hard Lakers fan, and my brother is a die-hard Celtics fan (for some odd reason, he's adopted all the Boston teams). SO, according to my dad, the three-musketeers on the Celtics (or whatever they call themselves now) are obnoxious bullies, and according to my brother, Kobe is losing his edge. Oh and also, apparently Lebron is an ass. And he still doesn't have a ring.

--Saw some Louboutin sample sales, some Dior sample sales, Gucci had a great online sale. Yeah I'm sorry, I'll post info about them whenever they happen again. Gone for now though. Haha, so why am I mentioning it? I don't know, I write as I think.
--Now something more relevant: Nordstrom is having their half-yearly sale. You can get some great deals, like this Burberry watch for $206.90, original price $345
--I'm in loveeeee with my new MK bag. I don't care for the brand much, but the color is SOOO pretty! Isn't it pretty!!??( It's actually a lot brighter than the picture)
--I don't have 300 bucks to spend on shoes, but if you do, PLEASE get these! Ever since my sister and I were little, we always wanted shoes like our barbies. These aren't the same, but hey, Alexander Mcqueen ain't too much of a compromise either :)
--Oh, and still infatuated by Kate Middleton. I think it's turning into love now! (Needless to say, in a not-attracted-to her sort of way). Day after day, this woman symbolizes class and character. I mean, look at her!
--How did the two douchiest people in Hollywood find each other? Kim K and Kanye are dating? How "kute"..hahaha. I wonder how they talk to each other, I can only imagine what their conversations sound like.

I've tried chocolate chip cookies from scratch, but I haven't perfected the recipe yet. They always turn out either too dry, too soggy, too chocolatey (if that's a thing!). But anywho. So I found this recipe on Pinterest for home-made brownies, tried it for the first time today, and three words...Oh, My, God! They are the BEST brownies I have EVER had! They are gooey, fudgy, soft, and just delish! Yes there is a LOT of butter, but butter's good for you! (TOTALLY kidding, just trying to make myself feel better about this sugary, fatty, chocolatey concotion.) Ok so here's the recipe, hope you guys try it and like it!
Ingredients:
- 2 sticks of unsalted butter (don't be shocked, I already told you it was a LOT of butter)
- 2 1/4 cups of sugar
- 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe:
--Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees, butter a 9x13 baking dish
--In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Set aside.
--Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. When the butter is completely melted, add the sugar slowly, and mix it in with the butter, stirring continuously.
--Take the saucepan off the heat, and slowly mix in the cocoa powder mix (or beat-in a stand mixer). Now add the eggs and the vanilla extract, beat until the mixture is smooth.
--Add the flour and the chocolate chips, mix well.
--Pour the batter in the baking dish. Cook for about 30 mins, or do the toothpick test (stick a toothpick in the center, it's done if the toothpick comes out almost clean).
--Cool before cutting up the brownies...now try to control yourself..ah what the hell...eat the whole pan :)

Winter/Spring must haves!
There are so many cute trends this season, it's hard to make a must-have's list. Everyone has their unique, individual style, so the list differs for everyone. Based on some of my previous posts, you guys can probably guess some of my must-have things. Lace dresses, something with leopard print, cute wedges etc. I'll try to stay away from things I've already blogged about, just for the sake of diversity. It's hard for me to stay away from something I like though...when I was nine-ten years old, I used to have this beautiful denim mini-dress that I wore pretty much every day. My mom would tell me to change and wear something else, but I loved the dress so much, I felt like wearing something else would be doing it injustice. So my mom got so frustrated, she took a pair of scissors and cut the dress right in the middle. Seventeen years later, I saw a very similar dress last fall at Bebe, for $120!! SOOO long story short, you may come across a few repeat outfits :)
Ok so here the top ten must-have things for this season...in my humble opinion, of course :)
1.) Sequin skirt/sequin anything: Sequins make everything pretty. I like sequins in pretty much in any way, shape or form....skirts, dresses, blouses, shoes...I can't help it, shiny things make me happy :)
2.) Something Lace: If you read my previous posts, you know how much I loveeee lace. I own several lace dresses, skirts, blouses...maybe more than one should...haha. But I can't help it, lace dresses just look so classy! (well, it has to be done right, bad quality lace can make you look trashy!) Add instant elegance to your outfit by adding pearls, especially to a light colored lace dress/blouse. Oh yeah, and speaking of pearls, every girl MUST have them! Even if you don't think you're girly, or your style is more edgy, you gotta have at least one thing pearl-y :)
Anywho, here are some pretty lace dresses...
3.) Color Blocking: Finally! Indian clothes have had color blocking for a while now, and now we can rock it in dresses too! I love pairing pink with orange, or pink with purple. The awesome thing about color blocking is that you can pretty much get away with any color combination, since the whole point is to create a contrast. However, I don't like color blocking with jeans/pants, don't know why! It just doesn't look right to me. I would stick to skirts and dresses, but then again, I'm pretty open minded about these things :)
The first picture below is a beautiful Giambattista Valli dress. It's a bit pricey for me ($2340 at Bergdorf's)...but hey, if you can afford it, it's a gorgeous piece! I would wear nude pumps and maybe add a gold cuff.

4.) Contrast Panels: Kate Winslet wowed in the now-famous "Optical Illusion" Stella McCartney dress in Venice and Paris, respectively. The original will cost you about $1600...IF you can find one. Apparently there is wait-list for the dress! I found something sort-of similar on ASOS.com. The black contrast panels create an illusion of a slimmer waist. And I love the blue in the middle!

| ASOS, click here. 5.) Oxfords/Loafers: I'll put them in the same category, I don't know why they're almost the same to me. The glittery ones are mine, I got them at Nordstrom Rack for $40! They're probably my favorite shoes....and that's #1 out of a wholeeeeee lotta shoes ;) The second picture is from Lulu's, I like the girly touch with the sequins. I personally don't like plain Oxfords, I think they look a little manly. The sparkle takes away from the harsh look of the shoes. Also, check out these beige ones from Topshop for $30. .JPG) 
6.) Colored denim: My husband might think I look like a dancer from LMFAO, but I don't care! I love different colored skinny jeans! They're so versatile, you can wear them in any season, with pumps to go out, with wedges or flats to go shopping, with sandals for brunch, with flip-flops for sight seeing...you get the picture. Now it's the top half of the outfit that you should be picky about. Don't wear a neon top with bright colored pants. NO! Simple=Good. Like a plain white tee for a more casual look, or a plain chiffon/silk blouse if you're going out. Just keep it simple!

7.) Tuxedo/Boyfriend Blazers: Or any kind of blazer, for that matter. Blazers are just a must-have for any closet; when it comes to versatility, I think a blazer tops the list. It's one of those things that's always going to be in style, so might as well invest in a nice one. I like the different color options as well, like the purple and white ones below.

8.) Florals: Yes I know it's winter, but that don't mean a thing if all you think about is spring! Hah I just made that up! But seriously, who cares if it's 20 degrees outside? Floral print dresses look sooo pretty, and they add such a nice feminine touch. Add a skinny belt to the waist, or pair with a pretty necklace!
  
9.) Pastels: Speaking of florals, pastels seem to be making a come back as well. I remember in the nineties, pastels were extremely popular. Pastel colors are so pleasant to look at, I feel like no one would ever be in a bad mood if they wore something like a pretty floral blouse with a pastel skirt. Haha...if only! But yeah, that's a great idea, pairing pastels with florals; especially if you have pastel colored denim! You should try it.. :)

10.) ACCESSORIES!!! So technically, I know accessories aren't really a "trend", but they are definitely a "must-have", for any season. You can turn up the style factor exponentially on any outfit, just by picking the right accessories! Whether it's a statement necklace, or a wrist cuff, or a sexy belt...you can add great style to something as simple as white-tee and jeans.

So those were my top 10 styles for this season. It's so hard to pick your favorite when there are SO many cute things around...I didn't even get into animal print, horizontal stripes, wedges, knee-high boots, trench coats, cross-body bags etc etc...I'll save all that for another post :) Until then, TOODLES!
