Post-Holiday Blues...

Well technically I don't have any, since I don't really get any time off from work...haha...so I guess that's one good thing about not having the holidays off, no post-holidays blues for me! But I can imagine how tough it is to go back to work after the holidays...no more getting off early, no more cookies and other treats, no more holiday spirit...people are usually back to their grumpy selves. Mehhh. On the bright side, spring will be here soon! Yay!! Haha, what can I say, I'm a bit of an optimist.

OK so we'll talk about some football later, but right now I wanna talk about maxi skirts. HOW CUTE ARE THEY!? I've always loved knee-length and ankle-length skirts, but sadly, until last year, they were considered hippie attire. I'm SO glad they're in fashion now, since I have quite a few of them. They're just so flowy and feminine, especially the chiffon ones! I think the best way to wear them is with a pretty tank top, and flats. PLEASE don't wear heels with maxi skirts! I saw a girl at the mall (in the winter!) wearing a chiffon maxi skirt with pumps. UMM NO. That's so tacky! Heels are super cute with midi skirts though. You can wear wedges, platforms, and boots. Midi skirt with a cute turtle neck, some matching accessories, and knee-length boots....probably the only way I can get through winter :)

Here are a some pretty maxi/midi/A-line skirts I found online..

1.) Forever 21: I love the denim and skirt combination! You could wear this skirt with flats/sandals/flip-flops and even boots! Yours for $17.80!

2.) ASOS: I love, love, love this one. I'm obsessed with anything with black lace...I think I'm gonna get it, it's only $29.09 :). BTW, can you tell I love ASOS?

How can you NOT feel pretty in that skirt? $54.54, ASOS

Jazz up your wardrobe with bright colors! $27.27, ASOS

Again, can't go wrong with lace! $58.18, ASOS

3.) OMG! This is skirt is HOT! Honestly, I don't know what "chictopia" is, so please let me know if anyone has experience with this website. *drool* I'm in love with this skirt! Check out the website here.

4.) Topshop: Topshop can be a bit pricey sometimes, but my philosophy is, if you absolutely love it, you gotta have it! Of course that gets me in trouble sometimes, but oh well :p
This is the Aztec Dip Hem Skirt from Topshop, $76.00

That's all for now! As always, I'll be on the look out for good deals, and as always, let me know if you come across any! Toodles!

PS: Here's an example of DO/DON'T with maxi skirts...

DON'T DON'T DON'T wear a baggy blouse! Unless you're going for that look..and no, she's not pregnant!

DO wear a fitted tank-top, or a pretty, feminine blouse.
